This monastery is currently the headquarters of Caritas Diocesana charityand is built next to what was the monastery of San Francisco.

A new monastery was built in the 14th century for the Trinitarian Order and it covered the park of Doctor Vara. For five centuries this monastery was inhabited bymonks until 1836, when the Royal Decree of exclaustration forced them to leave the building.

The frail Trinitarians housed the statue of ‘Cristo de las Santas Gotas’ in their congregation. This carving suffered an accident in 1366, a board fell on top of it while the roof was being repaired. It fell onto his nose, drawing 16 drops of blood. This Christ of Burgos can now be found in the Capilla del Santísimo Cristo de las Gotas in San Gil Abad Church.
