The conventual church was built at the end of the 16th century; its sober classicist facade stands out. Inside the church there is a neo-Gothic altarpiece and several sculptures of Santa Teresa. Unfortunately, the interior cannot be visited as it is a cloistered convent.

Santa Teresa left behind a vast number of deep and rich spiritual writings in addition to the many convents she founded; the Carmelita de San José y Santa Ana Convent in Burgos being the last one she founded and dating back to 1582. This Convent hosts several relics of Santa Teresa (espadrille, veil, signed letter…). In its interior stands a sculpture of Santa Teresa from the 17th century and a portrait of Christ which was painted as a request by Santa Teresa following one of her visions. Next to this building we can find a Trinitarian convent dating from the beginning of the 20th century.
