Easter in Burgos was designated National Touristic Interest in 2013. During this celebration, 16 brotherhoods and sororities carry 22 scenes of Christ’s Passion in 17 different processions. This religious festival is experienced with great strength and excitement in Burgos, with solemn processions that begin on the Friday before Palm Sunday and last until Easter Sunday.
